SDH Presents NBA DLeague Highlights: Legends 116, Vipers 145 (12/2/2013)

The Texas Legends put up a strong offensive stand, scoring a season-high 116, but couldn't defend the hot-shooting Vipers who posted 145 and broke a league-record in three-pointers. The Vipers took control with 9:20 in the first quarter and held tight through most of the game. The Legends saw a burst of light at the end of the first, taking a 29-27 lead right before the buzzer, but RGV came back firing in the second. The Legends fought hard offensively but the Vipers were too strong hitting 24 of 50 beyond the arc and out-rebounding the Legends 67-47.

Devin Ebanks extended his double-double streak to four straight games posting 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Legends. Melvin Ely and Terrel Harris added 16 points each. The Vipers were led by Troy Daniels with 29 points and Rockets-assignee Isaiah Canaan who tallied the team's only double-double with 25 points and 10 assists.  You can keep up with the D-League as well as all 30+NBA teams right here on +Slap Dog Hoops.  Don't forget to check out SDH's Preseason Worst to First Countdown as I preview and predict the fates of all thirty teams in the Association.
