SDH Presents Basketball Dribbling Drills - Point Guard Pick Splitting

This is a great dribbling drill for point guards and perimeter players in general, and it's especially helpful who are looking to add options to their pick and roll play and all you need is 2 cones to do it. In this drill you'll develop the ability to come off of a screen and then quickly change directions to beat both your defender and your teammates defender in two quick dribbles. The key to making it effective is to make your change of direction quick and precise, while keeping your body behind the basketball after your crossover dribble to avoid your original defender getting a hand on the ball from behind. The more your practice this drill the more you'll get the feel for the angle you need to move at and the body positioning required to split both defenders off of the pick.
