Alex Desroches first joined NBL Canada as a member of the Moncton MIracles during the 2013 -2014 season. He returns back for a second year but this time he'll be joining the Island Storm and have an opportunity to play in an area where he grew up. After being away from home for almost 7 years, Alex understands the significance of playing close to home.

The date was April 17, 2014 during game seven of the NBL Canada Finals. Doug McKinney of the Island Storm and had an incredible shooting performance going 7-8 from the field and 4-4 from the 3 point line finishing with 18 points in just 14 minutes of work. He unknowingly set an NBL Canada playoff record of most points in fewest minutes. He also tossed in an assist, a steal and three rebounds.

Despite his small size and stature, AKA Crimestopper has become one of the most exciting players that high school hoops has ever witnessed. Fans were thrilled the instant the news broke and so was the Mill Rat organization.

After spending last season playing overseas in Germany, Brandon Robinson makes his return to the National Basketball League of Canada and will suit up for the Island Storm for the 2014-2015 season once again. Brandon won rookie of the year, led the league in scoring and was the all star game MVP during the league's inaugural season and arguably one of the top scorers NBL Canada has ever seen. He was a member of the Storm roster that came up short in the Finals against the Lightning in 2013 and looks to take care of some unfinished business.

The Island Storm are pleased to announce the signing of former McDonald's All American, Renardo Sidney to the 2014-2015 roster.
Sidney who spent three years at Mississappi State was an undeniable talent as high schooler and considered one of the best players in the country at the time. Health and personal challenges caused his stock to drop and he eventually fell off the basketball landscape so this opportunity to join a Storm club that's come up short in back to back NBL Canada Finals has him excited.
