[9/3/13] According to +Lakers Nation, the +Los Angeles Lakers officially announced the signing of free agent forward Shawne Williams on Tuesday, though the terms of the deal have not been released. Williams has been arrested on drug charges several times and has played with the +Indiana Pacers, +Dallas Mavericks, +New York Knicks, and the then New Jersey, but now +Brooklyn Nets. I personally remember there having so much hope for this guy and many were saying that he was a virtual steal in the draft; however, he never lived up to expectation and probably will not be much of a factor for a team whose prospects seem pretty dire at the moment.
