SDH Presents the 2014-15 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Clubs Convention Looks to Basketball's future in Europe

A historic gathering of nearly 100 club and domestic league representatives from across the continent came together for a first-of-its kind European Basketball Clubs Convention in Barcelona on Wednesday to debate the future of their sport. The convention, organised by Euroleague Basketball, established a platform to decide where basketball needs to focus its attention, resources and effort in order to attract more fans to the game and build a competition model that will assure growth and success for years to come. The convention attendees heard from experts inside and outside of basketball, namely Jordi Bertomeu, President and CEO of Euroleague Basketball; Shimon Mizrahi, President of current Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv; Jan Pommer, Managing Director of the Beko Basketball Bundesliga of Germany; Ioris Francini, President of IMG Media & Events, and Andrea Agnelli, President of Juventus FC. The discussion was also open to fans and media on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #BasketballFuture.
